Reading is truly the key to knowledge and I believe it is one of the activities humans simply must do in order to expand our horizons and be able to battle misconstructed ideas such as racism, sexism, intolerance, xenophobia… If only we can listen to others’ words and understand their side of the story, we can grow more accepting of one another and I fervently believe this is easily accomplished through reading.
Which is why I am always on board for any and all means of instilling the reading habit in people. In the past, I have worked at a library dedicated to promoting reading habits in children and teenagers and seeing all those little kids getting excited about reading or begging their parents for a library card restores my faith in humanity bit by bit.
In this blog entry, I want to talk about another company that means to provide tools for book lovers and spread the word about the amazingness of reading by encouraging all of us to join in!

This is a UK based company that works as a price comparison search engine. Basically, they are comparison experts. You search for a book, any book (paperbacks, hardcovers, audiobooks, ebooks, text books, second hand books, all of it!) and the page displays a table of prices and the sites where you can get your searched book. That way, you can compare all the options through which you usually buy books or look them up and you can choose the best option for you!

This is a completely free program and perfect for bookworms. All you have to do is sign up and then a series of steps follow, where you can update your profile with your address, up to 3 of your favourite genres, up to 5 titles you’re interesting in reading and a review timeframe –how long does it take for you to read a book and write a review about it?
Once you complete these steps, your profile is ready and the amazing guys at the Book Review Programme choose a book they think fits your interest, completely free of charge!!! They also give you a deadline for submitting your review through your blog, social media or YouTube channel according to the timeframe you specified in your profile.
But that is not all!!!!
Since SocialBookCo’s core activity is being a price comparison site, they also provide you with a unique link that redirects to the book you received and its prices. If a person clicks your link to the reviewed book, check out the page and purchase the book through your link, you get a commission for the sale! It’s idyllic, isn’t it? The best part is, it’s absolutely legit!!!
